Fine hardwood doesn't stop being fine hardwood just because it didn't make it into a dining table. No landfill, just the same premium, locally sourced lumber that goes into everything else we make.

Why End Grain? End-grain cutting boards, often called butcher blocks, are durable, long-lasting, and anti-microbial, making them the preferred choice for professional chefs and home cooks. They are cut so that the wood fibers are oriented upright, which allows the board to absorb the impact of knife cuts rather than dulling the blade. This creates a self-healing surface where small cuts close up over time, extending the board's lifespan. These tight fibers also limit the absorption/retention of bacteria and moisture, making it harder for bacteria to penetrate deep into the board, helping to keep the surface cleaner and more hygienic.
